Positive: Very clean, plenty of space. The location was easy to reach and was a great staging point for visiting most of the central east coast of the Big Island. The neighbors were generally quiet and friendly. We felt safe here as well. From this location it was a bit far for a walk to downtown, so that’s sort of exaggerated in the title of the property. Access to coffee shops, drug stores, supermarkets, etc. was all very quick via car.
Negative: The windows in the bedroom did absolutely nothing to stop the sound from the busy roadway. Any noises outside came in as if the windows were open. There is a laundry on site, which we didn’t use. Having a small washer/dryer in the room would have been very helpful. It would have been nice to have a lanai and a bidet, but we were comfortable enough as it was.
Summary: Great location for staging a vacation to explore the east coast of Hawaii’s Big Island.
