Welcome to the Wainaku Camp Home, a newly renovated sugarcane plantation-style residence located just 5 minutes from the vibrant heart of downtown Hilo. This delightful home is an ideal getaway for families and friends, with two houses available on the property, providing plenty of space for relaxation and fun.
Set in a local camp-style neighborhood, you will enjoy a tranquil atmosphere away from the usual tourist hustle. The Hamakua Coast offers stunning natural beauty waiting to be explored, including picturesque waterfalls and lush botanical gardens. You’ll find it easy to venture into the shops and museums of Hilo during your stay.
Please be aware that the neighborhood is home to some friendly animals, predominantly roosters, whose calls can be heard throughout the day. For your comfort, earplugs are provided to assure a restful night’s sleep.
This spacious accommodation features two cozy bedrooms outfitted with queen-sized beds, along with a sofa sleeper in the living area, making it perfect for up to six guests. The home includes a dining area, bar space, and a well-equipped bathroom, along with amenities such as a TV, Wi-Fi, and off-street parking. Enjoy cooking outside with a BBQ grill and unwind in the covered outdoor dining area after a day of adventures.
Outside, there is ample room for play or simply soaking in the serene environment among large fruit trees, including avocado, lychee, and breadfruit. For those quiet moments at home, games are available to keep everyone entertained.

This is the second house on the property, equipped with a washing machine inside for your convenience. Also, there is a designated covered area outside for hang-drying your laundry, although please note that no dryer is available.
