Summary: If you're planning to book this place for the summer, note that there will likely be bugs and it will be hot. There is only 1 AC in the living room, but the rest of the apartment gets hot. The fans are not effective at cooling the place down. Our first night there, our baby's monitor read 85 degrees even though we placed all of the provided portable fans in her room... we had to move her crib into the living room near the AC for her to sleep peacefully. The next day, the kid's room was still in the 80s for her nap time.Aside from that, we ended up leaving after only 1 night (of an 8 night stay) because of bugs, including cockroaches. We saw and killed over 15 bugs throughout the apartment in less than 24 hrs. One crawled across me at 2am!!. We have an infant, so the bugs heat was not safe or acceptable. When I reached out to the local host (who was great, but she is not the owner) about the bugs, they told me the owner would not refund the stay, but offered an additional cleaning. There's no way a cleaning would take care of a bug infestation and I also didn't want to expose my baby to any chemicals they might use. Since I turned the cleaning down, the property management company would only refund 500 (1/4 of what I paid!!).My guess is that this property hasn't been rented during the summer yet, which is why all the reviews are positive. The owner needs to change tactics for the summer.. tropical places get buggy and hot! If fixed, this place would've been perfect!
