Summary: Chris, Carol and Justin were the perfect hosts. The property and home is stunning and every attention to detail was met. The home was clean with a gorgeous view, floor to ceiling fireplace, cable tv, internet, washer, dryer and cooler, beach chairs and towels to use. Chris provided firewood on cool evenings, charcoal for the grill, tips on beaches, hikes, restaurants, history of the area and the farm animals are such fun to visit and feed. Close to many nice beaches, hikes and about 2 hours from Volcano National Park. We saw lots of whales, sea turtles and there are plenty of places to snorkel nearby. There is an affordable FoodLand grocery store 30 minutes away and smaller shops right in Hawi for anything you might need. If you are looking for some time on the Big Island away from the resorts to experience the true spirit of Hawaii this is a great choice with great hosts that give you privacy but always available if you have any needs. You won't be disappointed!
