Your stay includes access to our spacious and family-friendly Ohana unit, which occupies the entire downstairs of our expansive 3,200 square-foot home. The tropical alpine backdrop here is unparalleled. One of our very own secluded waterfalls and swimming holes lies right beside the house, and unique to our property, the river flows through it, granting you access to over half a mile of private streamfront with extraordinary vistas that rival even National Parks. Families are more than welcome here—children can relish the freedom to play, interact with our goats and puppies, and splash joyfully in the river.

This retreat is designed for families seeking kid-friendly accommodations. As your hosts, we reside upstairs, creating a welcoming environment where you may see us around. We pride ourselves on embodying Aloha spirit and assure that you will be treated as family during your stay. Our two children love making new friends, ensuring that kids will feel right at home.

Our picturesque pastoral location on the Hamakua Coast provides the perfect setting to enjoy balmy days and refreshing nights without the need for air conditioning. Although just a 12-minute drive from vibrant downtown Hilo, you will feel as if you’ve found an oasis nestled in the mountains, complete with waterfalls, swimming holes, and extensive nature preserves.
