Positive: The setting is beautiful. The waterfall is gorgeous. They have a nice, short trail around the property which was a fun walk. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They provided a grab-and-go breakfast for no additional cost, which was all we needed.

Negative: No TV in the room. The bathroom was cramped. You have to drive on a lot of one lane roads to get there. It’s a bit of a challenge. But after visiting several Hawaiian islands we’ve learned that one lane, two-way roads are quite common and it’s part of the “charm” of visiting Hawaii. They advertised a special chef’s meal for dinner, but there weren’t enough diners signed up so they had to cancel.

Summary: A unique resort property, long on beauty but without a lot of creature comforts.
