Welcome to your serene getaway at Absolute Oceanfront in Hilo. Your adventure begins in this beautifully remodeled property, which reflects our deep-rooted affection for the land since we first moved to Hawaii in 1989. Originally located in Volcano Village, we found our way to the peaceful Honoli'i area, where our hearts and home have thrived.

As you walk through the custom front door, you'll immediately notice the stunning design elements and ample natural light flooding the expansive living room, kitchen, dining area, and lanai. The upper level features two inviting bedrooms — one with a queen bed and another with twin beds — offering comfort and tranquility for family gatherings.

Descend the staircase to discover the spacious Family Suite measuring 60 by 20 feet. This suite boasts a queen bed and a king-sized bed, cleverly designed to provide privacy while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. Indulge in the elegant bathroom equipped with a freestanding tub and a separate toilet area. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the double shower that doubles as a steam room, providing a luxurious experience after a day exploring the island. A second, fully covered lanai can be accessed from this level, along with an outdoor shower overlooking the ocean — the perfect spot to refresh yourself after a beach day.

To ensure your comfort during your stay, all rooms are fitted with ceiling and floor fans. The sliding doors can be opened to embrace the gentle trade winds, providing a comfortable ambient temperature throughout the year. Although it can occasionally feel hot and humid between June and August, it's all part of the exquisite Hawaiian experience, and most homes in East Hawaii typically do not feature air conditioning.

Your culinary needs will be met in the fully-equipped kitchen, though remember to bring any condiments or food supplies you may need, as housekeeping removes these items post-cleaning. Please note that due to insurance restrictions, charcoal and gas grills or BBQs are not permitted on the premises.

Listen closely at night, and you'll hear the enchanting sounds of coqui frogs, creating a unique nighttime ambiance. While some may find their calls loud, many guests appreciate this distinctive aspect of East Hawaii.

We kindly ask for your understanding regarding occupancy guidelines. To ensure a peaceful environment for everyone, we strictly limit the number of guests in accordance with your reservation. Unregistered visitors and loud parties are prohibited, and quiet hours are enforced from 9 PM to 8 AM per county regulations.

Parking is available exclusively in the driveway; please refrain from parking on the street to maintain neighborhood decorum.

Please be aware that reservations can only be made through verified platforms like VRBO, HomeAway, and Expedia. Beware of scams that may appear on sites like Craigslist urging direct payment.

The base rate accommodates up to four guests, with an additional fee of $50 per person per night for each extra guest, welcoming a maximum of eight.

It's also important to highlight our updated cancellation policy. Since experiencing significant challenges in 2020, we now enforce a firm policy: cancellations made at least 60 days prior to your arrival will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days before your stay qualify for a 50% refund, while no refunds will be granted within 30 days of arrival unless mandated by Hawaii State or County authorities. We highly recommend securing travel insurance for added protection against unforeseen circumstances.
