Summary: This property has a great ocean view. Just a short walk to the beach where we enjoyed snorkeling. This property is in a quiet, gated community & was a fairly short drive to lots of activities. The unit was not very clean, but kitchen was well stocked with dishes & utensils. A bag of Kona coffee was provided, which was a nice touch. The condo does not have central air conditioning, which made it very challenging to get comfortable, particularly in the evenings, due to the higher temps & humidity that occurred during our stay. We had searched VRBO using the A/C filter & didn’t notice the fine print prior to booking. When we reached out to property mgmt, they responded the next day & stated “We have never had complaints about the temperature in the unit and I’m sorry you are uncomfortable.” However, there was no offer to provide additional fans or anything to help with the temperatures. They only sent screenshots of the fine print in the listing. We did not let this ruin our trip to the Big Island. We ended up just adjusted our itinerary & planned activities during the evening hours to avoid the heat.
