After a fulfilling day of exploration, retreat to this peaceful sanctuary, conveniently located 40 minutes from Hilo International Airport. Renting a vehicle is highly recommended to navigate the scenic roads of the Big Island.

At an elevation of 4,000 feet, Volcano enjoys a tropical climate where rain may surprise you at any time of the day or night. While days can be warm, evenings can get chilly, so it’s wise to pack both warm clothing and your swimsuit. Please note that the tap water is not potable, so we encourage you to bring your own drinking water for your comfort.

This serene retreat is enveloped by lush tropical flora and vibrant flowers, providing you with an idyllic backdrop. The Hapu’u Room features expansive windows offering direct views of the rainforest, allowing you to feel connected to nature right from your room. Cozy up with a blanket on cooler nights and set the mood with landscape lighting as you soak in the forest's beauty.

Your stay includes complimentary high-speed internet and access to a smart TV for your entertainment needs. The studio boasts a full bathroom equipped with essential toiletries, including:

For your convenience, free parking is available on-site, limited to one vehicle per unit. Guests will have their private quarters in the Nene Room alongside shared outdoor areas, which include parking, a driveway, a forested yard, and trails. Please note that the hot tub is currently unavailable for guest use until further notice. We kindly ask that children and other guests utilize designated areas to ensure privacy for everyone.

Experience the serene neighborhood with early morning walks or jogs to take in the local community’s charm. Your host is available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM HST, making late check-ins possible. While early check-ins and late check-outs cannot be guaranteed, every effort will be made to accommodate your requests. To explore the treasures of the Big Island, renting a vehicle is the most efficient option, though bus services are available through the Hele-on bus schedule found on the Hawaii County website.

As a multi-unit property comprising two buildings with four units in total, the Hapu’u Room is situated in the back building adjacent to the Nene unit. Please be aware that a fee of $5.00 will be charged for any damaged, missing, or irreparably stained towels. By confirming your booking with us, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Pacifica Inn, its owners, agents, employees, and servants from claims related to injuries, property damage, or any sanctions stemming from non-compliance with house rules or local laws.
