Located in the picturesque Mauna Loa Estates, just a mile away from the vibrant town of Volcano, you will find delightful restaurants and shops to explore during your stay. The stunning Hawai’i National Park is merely a five-minute drive away, making our location ideal for unwinding after a day filled with adventures across this tropical paradise. For convenient travel, Hilo International Airport is only 40 minutes away, and renting a vehicle is highly recommended to fully enjoy all that the Big Island has to offer.

Situated at an altitude of 4,000 feet, Volcano experiences a tropical climate where rains can fall unexpectedly throughout the day or night. As temperatures can drop during the evenings, it is advisable to bring along warm clothing alongside your swimwear. Please note that the water here is not suitable for drinking, so we encourage you to pack your own bottled water for your visit. The Volcano Room is a charming upstairs studio apartment featuring a Cal King bed and a Twin bed, accommodating up to 3 guests comfortably. With large windows offering stunning views, this studio is equipped with a small entertainment area complete with a smart TV and a dining space that doubles as a workspace. On chilly nights, cozy up with extra fuzzy blankets beside the fireplace to keep warm.

Your culinary needs are well-catered for in the fully-equipped kitchen, which includes:

Upon entering, you'll find yourself in a warm dining/kitchen area fitted with two tables and a bar top, seating a total of six.

Your cooking needs will be met with a fully-equipped kitchen that includes:

GUEST ACCESS:

Your stay in The Gecko Room and Volcano Room grants you private quarters with access to shared outdoor spaces that include the driveway, forested yard, and trails. Please note that the hot tub area is currently off-limits to guests until further notice. We ask all guests, especially children, to remain mindful of designated areas to respect the privacy of others.

The host is available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM HST, and late check-ins are welcomed. Should you arrive later in the evening, we kindly request your courtesy towards other guests on the property. While early check-ins and late check-outs cannot always be guaranteed, we will do our utmost to accommodate your requests.
