We are excited to announce that in March 2023, we enhanced your comfort by adding AIR CONDITIONING in both bedrooms and the living space upstairs! Our condo, affectionately named Hale Ohana—House of Family and Friends—is designed with an “island style” décor that complements the stunning tropical scenery surrounding you. With accommodations for up to six guests (featuring 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and a queen sofa bed), we hope you will find relaxation during your stay. Enjoy the serene atmosphere from the upstairs lanai or the patio outside the master bedroom, where you can take in the vibrant blue hues of the Pacific and the sway of the palms.

One of the highlights of staying at Kiahuna Plantation is its lush grounds, filled with plumeria trees, bougainvillea, hibiscus, and expansive lawns that meet the sea. Hale Ohana sits conveniently in the heart of these stunning 35 acres. Don't miss the renowned Moir Gardens, home to a captivating collection of cacti, bromeliads, koi fish, and water lilies. You will be greeted by this beauty upon check-in with Outrigger Resorts. For your culinary delights, gas BBQ grills are scattered throughout the property. The great lawn at Kiahuna Plantation is just steps away from the acclaimed Poipu Beach, celebrated for its warm, crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and boogie boarding. With such splendid amenities, you'll quickly see why Poipu has been recognized as the ninth "Best Beach" in America in 2023 by Dr. Beach, chosen from over 650 beaches nationwide.

Our love story with Kiahuna Plantation began over 35 years ago during our honeymoon, and it continues today as we return with our two sons, who have now grown into their 30s but still cherish the adventures of water sports, hiking, kayaking, body surfing, and reading under the palm trees.

FURTHER DETAILS ABOUT HALE OHANA:

Completely remodeled in 2010, Hale Ohana features an upgraded stainless steel kitchen sink and countertops crafted from travertine tile and granite. New wooden cabinets and appliances—including a new oven, microwave, and refrigerator—were installed. We regularly refresh and upgrade items such as carpets, pillows, bedspreads, and furniture to ensure your comfort.

In February 2020, all interior walls received a fresh coat of paint, and master bathroom cabinets were refinished. In May 2021, we enhanced the tile on the master lanai. Situated on the east end of Building 14, our unit benefits from additional windows and the gentle flow of trade winds, complemented by ceiling fans in every room. With no unit above or below, you can expect peace and privacy. Both bedrooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs featuring cable, and complimentary high-speed internet service is available. Enjoy music through the Sonos audio system in the living room.

Upon entering the condo, you’ll find the ground floor hosts the two bedrooms and two bathrooms, while the kitchen, dining room, and living area are situated on the upper level. You’ll enjoy unobstructed ocean views from both the upstairs and downstairs lanai, all while being set back comfortably from the main beach to ensure lower noise levels and greater privacy. A short 2-minute walk will bring you to the great lawn and beach.

OUTRIGGER RESORTS MANAGEMENT COMPANY:

Please note that there are two management companies on-site. We partner with Outrigger to assist with our condo. Upon check-in, you will follow the driveway marked Kiahuna Plantation/Plantation House Restaurant. Should you require assistance during your stay, such as equipment repairs, please contact Outrigger directly.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT:

Check-in time is at 3:00 pm, providing housekeeping ample time to prepare the condo for your arrival, while check-out is at 11:00 am. If needed, Outrigger may store your luggage for several hours, and there are no checkout fees.

CLEANING:

A description of our Full Housekeeping service includes new sheets and towels, trash removal, and a thorough cleaning of the condo, provided weekly for stays of seven nights or more. Additional housekeeping services can be requested for an extra fee.

BEACH SUPPLIES:

You can obtain free beach chairs and towels from the Beach Hut; simply bring your room key and sign in at the desk. They also offer cold beverages, sunscreen, and brochures on island activities. Ask about taking surfing lessons; supplies for fins/snorkels, masks, and boogie boards may vary. Inside Hale Ohana, you will find a selection of beach equipment left by us and previous guests for your enjoyment, which may include boogie boards, umbrellas, and Tommy Bahama beach chairs.
