Despite its remote feel, you will find yourself just a short 15-minute drive from various points of interest such as Uncle Robert's, Kehena Beach, Sundari Retreat Center, and Pohoiki Hot Ponds.

Surrounded by dramatic black lava fields, the vicinity offers plenty of opportunities for adventure. Spend your days swimming with dolphins at nearby black sand beaches and your nights beneath a starlit sky, feeling the pulse of nature all around you. The loft is situated within a charming two-story lava house that incorporates electricity, high-speed internet, a simple kitchen, clean linens, and hot showers, ensuring comfort throughout your stay.

The main feature of your retreat is the private Upstairs Loft. It boasts a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed, providing an intimate setting for 1-2 guests. Also included is a small half-bathroom for added convenience. Downstairs, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a hot shower, and a cozy living area shared with considerate caretakers who live temporarily on-site.

Your stay here is designed for rest and rejuvenation. Take time to enjoy the enchanting Mermaid Ponds, geothermal warm ponds, tide pools, waterfalls, as well as the awe-inspiring sight of live flowing lava. We are honored to serve as the caretakers of this sacred sanctuary, embodying a spirit of joy, compassion, and respect for our guests.

As part of your visit, we also offer additional services such as airport pick-up from Hilo (approximately 45 minutes away), car rentals, guided tours of local sacred sites, and personalized yoga or sound healing sessions.
