This charming two-bedroom, one-bath home is surrounded by majestic ohia trees, offering you a serene and cozy environment to unwind. Each bedroom features comfortable queen-size beds with views of the lush forest.

Your stay here includes a minimum of 14 nights, accompanied by an extra cleaning fee of $135. Please note that while our cottage does not have cable television, we do provide internet via Dish satellite, which may not support activities like Zoom meetings effectively. We are actively seeking cable service to enhance your connectivity experience.

Conveniently located, you'll find shops, restaurants, and the vibrant Sunday Farmer's Market within walking distance. Here, you can pick up fresh fruits, vegetables, and local crafts. Don't miss visiting the nearby used bookstore for a great selection of books and magazines.

Feel free to prepare your meals in our fully equipped kitchen, complete with spices, condiments, and modern appliances such as a gas stove, microwave, and full-size refrigerator. If you prefer dining out, several excellent restaurants are just moments away. To keep you warm on cooler evenings, a wood-burning stove adds a touch of comfort.

Your adventure begins at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, only minutes away, where you can explore one of the world's most active volcanoes. The Visitor Center offers current volcanic activity updates, and the park is rich with trails perfect for hiking while listening to the songs of native birds. Gift shops and informational displays await you at both the Visitor Center and the Jagger Museum.

The Volcano House Hotel and Restaurant provides fantastic dining options with stunning crater views. You can also visit the Kilauea Military R & R Camp, where public access allows you to enjoy buffet-style meals and cocktails, or grab a quick bite at their bowling alley snack bar.

A short drive will take you to the Volcano Golf & Country Club and Volcano Winery, where you can participate in wine tastings. Enjoy a scenic 35-minute drive to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, known for its green sea turtles. For more urban adventures, Hilo is just 45 minutes away, featuring beautiful waterfalls, shopping opportunities, supermarkets, and botanical gardens.

Traveling from the Kona side of the island? Expect a picturesque 2.5-hour drive. Check-in time is set for after 3 PM, while check-out should be completed by 11 AM.

Kaluhe Cottage is beautifully appointed, boasting a full kitchen equipped with essential cooking tools, entertainment options including a flat-screen TV, DVD player, and a selection of games. You'll find heated towel bars in the bathroom and one bedroom, and all linens are provided alongside space heaters and a cozy fireplace in the living room. A washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.

Please note that we accommodate a maximum of 4 guests, with rates starting at $175 per night for double occupancy, plus $25 for additional guests. A refundable security deposit of $250 applies, refunded upon damage-free checkout.

We invite you to enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate during your stay. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets in this residence; however, feel free to inquire about our other pet-friendly properties.

In terms of cancellations, reservations made 30 days or more in advance will receive a refund minus a 15% cancellation fee. For cancellations made within 15-29 days, a 50% refund is applicable; 7-14 days notice will yield a 25% refund; cancellations made less than a week before arrival will result in forfeiture of payment.
