Positive: The greatest thing about this property is the location. It's right on a gorgeous stretch of coastline and the condo itself looks out over the water. It's on the 4th floor so you really get a nice view. The condo was clean and had a good amount of towels and pillows for all 4 of us. We appreciated the extra twin bed in the bedroom as we had two adult children with us and one of them used that bed while the other one used the living room bed. In general, it was very comfortable. Check in was a little difficult as we couldn't really find the lockboxes right away but once we found them, the directions were easy to follow. We had good communication from the owner.
Negative: While clean, the property could use a few amenities like some power outlets, a box of tissue, and maybe a side table for the twin bed. It felt a little spartan compared to other vrbo type properties we've rented. They also need some directions for the tv setup - my husband, who is pretty technically savvy, had a hard time getting it to work. While the condo itself has been updated and was comfortable inside, the exterior needs major work. The parking lot is a mess with construction equipment all over the place, the building itself looks very old and run down, and the overall impression when you drive up is not good. The worst part was at 7am both mornings, something below us starting making a whirring sound, and around 8am, the construction started. Literally in the condo below us. They weren't just hammering - they were cutting tile and concrete, and it was LOUD. There were signs up on the property that they were replacing a water pipe, so they were cutting down through concrete to get to it. We literally couldn't have the doors to the ocean open and when they were closed, it wasn't much better. We ended up leaving to get away and never used the beach. This was not disclosed at all during the booking process. Once I booked it, I received an email with my confirmation, and in that email, a link to a renter portal was embedded in the information and literally just said "click here" with no explanation on what the clicking would do. I did not click it until way later when we got closer to our trip. The portal had house rules, the location, etc. At the very bottom of the page was info about the construction and how we could back out of the rental within 24 hours of booking it. (insert eye roll emoji here). I never saw the construction info until I went looking for it. Considering what we paid, we got rooked.
