Summary: This is nice space, good for 2 people. The kitchen is clean and well-equipped, we cooked most meals at home. A couple things to note: - The beach is about an 8-10 minute walk across the property. That said, its a gorgeous beach and about ten more minutes from the coast to Poipu beach where you will see turtles and monk seals. - Many of the windows to the exterior are covered by wooden shutters and screens only, no glass. This allows it to stay cool (no A/C), but if people walk by your room at night you will hear literally every word they say. It can be a little alarming to wake up and hear people 4 feet from your bed. This room is toward the corner of the building and not many people walked by, but it did happen about 3 times during the week. Probably not a great place to have babies or young kids because of the way sounds carry. - The pool/hot tub is not on the grounds of the property. It's somewhat of a hike across the highway and up a large hill. We visited only one time. - No laundry in the room. There is a laundry facility somewhere, but it's not in your room. - Check in process and property is like being at a hotel/timeshare and we had to wait a bit at check-in; there isn't direct entry like many other owner rentals. - There were some beach accessories provided to use: cooler, umbrella, two chairs, and some toys. - Location is great; near many restaurants, shopping centers and gorgeous beaches. I've been to Kauai 5 times and it's really hard to go wrong.
