Summary: Our stay at Mary and Tom’s Coffee Cottage was truly unforgettable! Nestled on their beautiful 350-tree coffee farm, this charming, treehouse-style studio offered the perfect romantic escape with stunning ocean views. The hillsides of Captain Cook are simply magical — bursting with fruit farms, coffee trees, and vibrant flowers — and the Coffee Cottage fits perfectly into that dreamy landscape.Mary was a wonderful host. Mary took the time to share local tips with us, recommending the best snorkeling spot at 2-Step, where to view the Captain Cook Monument from across the bay, and pointing us toward excellent local restaurants and hidden gems. The insight made our trip even more special.A few tips for future guests: Just Be. Take your time in the mornings sipping fresh coffee on the lanai — it's worth lingering over. After a day of adventures, come back to catch a spectacular sunset with a cold drink in hand. We brought binoculars and loved watching canoe paddlers in the bay and spotting exotic birds among the trees. During our stay, we also saw muskrats, roosters, colorful lizards, and a couple of friendly cats roaming the property.The Coffee Cottage is a truly special place where you can slow down, connect with nature, and soak in the magic of the Big Island.
