Summary: Loved the location, we saw whales in the morning. GREAT food places close by, embrace food trucks. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen is minimal. But who’s there for the kitchen? The patio is wonderful, get up and enjoy the sunrises just outside your door. Beach accessories were good quality, we appreciate the chairs especially. We were greeted at the start of our stay and saw the property manager repeatedly with regular checkins. Our only ‘would do differently’ is renting the car through the property. We were offered this after the booking and always try to support local businesses. The communication regarding the car rental was lacking at best. ( I think they contract this out?) We contacted the number we were to given to coordinate the car, a few times, and we’re told information would be forthcoming. Once we landed we had a text message informing of garage and row location for pickup. We walked the garage and row multiple times in search of the promised vehicle to no avail. We contacted the point person for the car rental, reminder this wasn’t the host for the home, and received voicemail. Then texted. Also contacted the host directly who then reached out to the other contact about the car. In the end, we were told the car we reserved wasn’t available due to it being ‘in the shop’. Another car had been provided, we weren’t given this information and were looking for the original car. The car provided was fine, no concerns. The execution was significantly lacking. Once all was resolved and we informed the host the response we received was “ Some kinks to work out in the communication department ”. Again, the property was very pleasant, as was the host. The 4 stars was a result of the car rental service though the VRBO booking. We would stay there again and rent from a more traditional rental car service.
