The recent eruption at Leilani Estates has revealed several breathtaking black sand beaches in the vicinity, including Kehena, Pohoiki, Mackenzie Sea Caves, Kaimu, and Kapoho. Pohoiki Beach is now well-loved by families for its spaciousness and inviting thermal ponds, making it a perfect spot for relaxation.

For those interested in exploring more of what Hawaii has to offer, Volcanoes National Park is conveniently located only an hour away. Our studio has welcomed guests from across the globe, including visitors from Canada, Germany, Israel, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and various countries in Europe. If you're seeking a clean, affordable place to stay, look no further.

This fully furnished, private studio features two double beds, Direct TV, a landline with complimentary long-distance calls, and Wi-Fi internet access. The small kitchenette includes a microwave, hotplate, cookware, coffee maker, utensils, and a medium-sized refrigerator. For outdoor cooking, enjoy using the gas and rock BBQ available outside.

Please note that we offer rentals on a monthly basis. You'll catch a glimpse of the ocean from the studio, only ten blocks away. Additionally, the Hele-on bus service, which operates three times daily, is within walking distance and will take you to Hilo for just $1.00.

Many visitors flock to the Puna District, which encompasses Kehena Beach, Kapoho, Pahoa, and Kalapana, for sunshine, tranquility, nature walks, yoga sessions, and more. This region is known for experiencing less rainfall compared to other areas on the island.

Puna also provides excellent opportunities to see the captivating lava fields and experience the beauty of Kilauea Volcano, Hawaiian jungles, tropical rainforests, picturesque coastal views, and the thermal ponds at Pohoiki.
