Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed eight days perched right on the north coast of Kauai in this home. It is spacious, well-equipped, clean, and pleasant with terrific ocean views. We could see the Kauai sunsets from the deck. Waves crashed on the reef right below us. The property managers communicated superbly. A few things are worth knowing. The pool looks like a swimming pool on VRBO but, as correctly described in the home, it's a "dipping" pool, small and only 4 feet deep. I would describe it as a water feature. (The lotus flower nearby is beautiful.) The beach outside is narrow and challenging for walking due to deep sand, rocks, and fallen trees. You can get through, but you may not do it daily. Finally--and this should be obvious from a map--it's 15 minutes of beautiful, serpentine driving to the stores, beach, and restaurants of Hanalei. NOTE: Access to the Haena coastline and Ke'e Beach are restricted. Go to "GoHaena" well in advance to obtain permits.
