Summary: The Lava Flow House was a spectacular home and the perfect setting for our family vacation to the Big Island. Both the interior and the surrounding landscape are stunning.The house itself is beautifully decorated, modern, climate-controlled, and spacious. The lanai connecting one of the bedrooms to the main living area was a true highlight — with all the glass doors open, it created a seamless indoor-outdoor space with mesmerizing views over the lava flow landscape. Watching it transform from sunrise to sunset and into the evening never got old. The pool became a daily ritual for us — a refreshing morning swim to start the day and an evening dip to wind down became something we looked forward to every day. The landscaped gardens and fresh fruit on the property felt so peaceful and authentically Hawaiian. Once you’re on the grounds, the home becomes an incredibly private oasis. It was even better than the listing photos.Yvette is a model host — extremely attentive, friendly, and responsive. The house was impeccably clean, and she was communicative throughout our stay, including keeping us informed about the Kīlauea eruptions. Episode 44 was an absolute highlight of the trip, and Yvette was a wonderful guide through the whole experience.We will absolutely return to The Lava Flow House on our next visit to the Big Island. Thank you for such a wonderful home and an unforgettable stay.
