Summary: The home was very comfortable and well set up, with ample provisions such as beach and kitchen equipment. The location was fantastic, and we loved the "secret" path and proximity to Hanalei beach, where we spent most of our time. The communication with the owner was excellent, with quick responses. There is only one indoor shower, and if you have six people, you might find that a little inconvenient. But it worked for us, as the men used the outdoor shower at the busiest times.The only area for improvement would be cleanliness. As soon as we walked in, we could smell a strong odour that was probably stale alcohol and cigarettes. Not the owner's fault, as the previous tenants would have broken the house rules. However, this should have been picked up by the cleaners and dealt with before our arrival. The smell dissipated by the third day of airing. There was also sand on the couch and bits of food wrapping on the floor behind the tv. The dyer had sand, and the washer smelled stale and mouldy, particularly around the rubber seal. But overall, this is a lovely house, and we still had an enjoyable stay!
