Summary: A Slice of Paradise in Kailua! My wife and I spent an entire month at this incredible plantation-style house, and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is absolutely perfect, just a stone's throw from what we believe is one of the best beaches in the United States. We nicknamed it "The Plantation House" for its magnificent wrap-around lanai on the second floor. This porch, complete with rocking chairs, was our favorite spot to enjoy breathtaking views of Kailua Beach and spectacular sunsets every single night. We even had a front-row seat for the Marine base airshow! The trade winds flowing through the house provided natural and blissful cooling. The downstairs 'Ohana was fabulous for our guests, and we were blown away by how well the house was stocked. From beach toys, canoes, and paddleboards to surfboards and every supply you could need, they have thought of everything.Lastly, the hosts, Virginia and Dan, were wonderful. They were attentive and handled any request promptly. Dan even kindly took our trash and recyclables out on the scheduled days—a touch above and beyond that we truly appreciated. The ample trash and recycling bins were also a very practical plus.We cannot recommend this property highly enough for a wonderful and complete Kailua vacation. We would return in a heartbeat.
