Positive: The location is perfect for anyone that wants to be in Waikiki and still be able to easily drive to other beaches. Even with traffic you can be anywhere in Oahu in less than an hour. And if you do want to go to a mall/Target/etc, Ala Moana is within walking distance (so is Waikiki beach, where the Duke statue is). The actual building has quite a decent/well kept laundry too what is definitely quite helpful. Parking is easy (at $23 a day mind you).
Negative: The main issues in my view are: the owner is cheap, no other way to put it. For very little money anyone could make a small basket for guests, like a welcome one, with water bottles, some fruit, etc. Yes, for less than USD 10. Also the place is not that clean, Just walk around in socks for 5 minutes and you will see what I mean. Black socks in no time. One of the kitchen lights does not work (it is not the bulb - it is either the fixture or the wiring). And again, little things like leaving some laundry pods, some salt/pepper, toilet paper (more than one roll, right?), paper towels, etc for guests costs nothing and makes a huge difference. We paid over USD 3,000 for 10 days and the owner cannot spare USD 50 to add some items that will make your stay much better? Tough to swallow.
