Summary: Loved the ocean front view and outdoor patio. We saw so many whales! Easy access to Chang's beach for swimming, snorkeling and sunset views. The large pools are uncrowded and have great amenities. The grounds are mature and very lush with lots of wildlife viewing. Don't miss sitting in the hot tub around sunset to take in the sound and spectacle of the birds nesting down for the evening in the large tree standing guard overhead.We have stayed at Makena Surf multiple times and this is our favorite unit. Well appointed, clean and unparalleled views. The level entry is helpful for our 80 year old parents as well as loading in and out. The unit is nicely appointed and maintained with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom which is great in offering more sleeping space.The complex is very secure with security entry and staff on site. The property management company is very responsive and helpful.
