Located in South Maui along the shores of beautiful Makena Bay, the Makena Bay House is a private, two-story residence located in an island paradise. The Makena Bay house's size and location make it an ideal choice for couples looking for a tropical getaway!
Built in 2005, The Makena Bay House has all the modern conveniences for a care-free vacation. The ground floor has an outdoor cabana that features a sitting area, a TV with DVD player and VCR, a wet bar with refrigerator, a gas BBQ grill, and a full bathroom. The washer and dryer are also located downstairs. The heated outdoor shower and hot tub are in a perfect spot to enjoy a gorgeous Maui sunset.
Upstairs is the main interior living area. Large sliding glass doors open to two decks, one off the kitchen and one off the bedroom, with views of the neighboring islands of Molokini, Kaho'olawe, and Lanai. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed to comfortably sleep 2 people. The upstairs interior has many special touches including vaulted ceilings, granite throughout, bamboo floors, upscale faucets, and accent lighting.
From the property, you can watch turtles in the surf just a few feet away and during the winter months you can see humpback whales as they migrate along the coast. Some of the islands best diving and snorkeling are directly in front of you. A clear night will treat you to amazing star gazing. You can enjoy Maui's finest restaurants as well as world-class shops and spas in Wailea; golf, tennis, and pristine beaches are close by. Makena is considered to be one of the more beautiful areas of Maui and there's no better place to experience Maui than the breathtaking, peaceful setting of Makena Bay House!
