Summary: Kīhei Main House Stay: Clean Inside, But Needs Updating and Better Maintenance, "We had a mixed experience at this Kīhei property. While the inside of the home was clean and the online photos accurately show the layout, it is clear the pictures were taken during a much better-maintained time. The property currently needs significant updating and attention to detail. Kitchen Supplies: The kitchen was understocked when we arrived. The owner did bring over some items after we asked, which we appreciated. The cooktop has two burners that do not work. This has been reported by previous guest some time ago. Beach Amenities: The amenities fell short for our group of six. There were only four beach towels provided. The gear shed was missing most of its contents, leaving us with just two boogie boards, four working chairs, one working umbrella, ice chests, and a longboard, but no snorkel gear. We did leave snorkel gear, skim board and a wet suit. Outdoors: The outdoor space was disappointing. Some of the furniture needs to be thrown away. It just made the area on the sides of the house, entry to laundry and front yard look junky. BBQ: not functioning at first - but we discovered how to fix itBOTTOM LINE - The home has great potential, but it requires better property management and updated fully working kitchen, updated towels for each room and beach gear to match the expectations set by the listing. Owner should live there - to see what is needed.
