Summary: We wanted to love this condo so much! It's light and airy, great location, and has the comfiest bed I've ever slept in on a vacation. The amenities and washer dryer were huge perks! The check-in process was easy, though we struggled to reach the condo office on our day of arrival to make sure we could go in 30 minutes early. Nobody ever answered the phone so we just waited. Not a huge deal. Our first couple of days we started to notice some weird bugs in the kitchen trying to get into our food. We're from the coast of WA so we don't have much other than ants here. After looking into it we determined they were cockroaches. I sent a message to the host through the VRBO app to see what could be done, maybe a quick treatment to keep them away until we checked out, but didn't hear back. When I followed up a second time I finally got a response that someone from the office would contact me. I kept my phone on me all day, but never received a call. At that point, we decided to just tough out our last two days and wash all of our belongings before packing up. Luckily I don't think we brought any home with us. Maybe it's expected to see these types of bugs in HI, but this was my 8th trip to Maui and my first time with that experience. Overall, it was just the lack of communication that bothered me. It didn't really seem like anyone cared. Not the communication I expected for the price we paid.
