As you enter this enchanting estate, prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking scenery featuring mature royal palms, towering black bamboo, ocean vistas, and a diverse array of tropical Hawaiian flowers. The renowned Akaka Falls State Park is conveniently located just 6 miles away, providing endless opportunities for adventure. At night, take advantage of the clear skies for stargazing, while mornings bring the soothing sounds of nature—listen closely for the gentle calls of roosters, birds, coqui frogs, and more. To enhance your sunrise experience, we’ve created a dedicated path with comfortable chairs set up for your enjoyment.

On-site, a dog boarding kennel shares part of the property, meaning you might hear some barking from 8 to 10 am during feeding times or if wild pigs wander through. If you love dogs, you’ll feel right at home here.

Evenings are best spent beneath the royal palms, gazing at the stars. Your romantic escape awaits in our newly built private one-bedroom, one-bath cottage, complete with a tiled shower, kitchenette, dining area, and living room. Enjoy amenities such as a propane fire pit, BBQ grill, dry sauna, Koa wood floors, queen bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, a convertible sofa for an extra guest, dimmable lighting, and your own private lanai. The cool and calming color palette creates a relaxing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a romantic getaway, anniversary celebration, honeymoon, or simply a refreshing visit to the Hamakua side of the Big Island.

We anticipate offering a charming one or two-bedroom studio cottage for booking starting November 1, 2022—please inquire for further details. Located just 15 miles from Hilo, 30 miles from Waipio Valley, and about an hour’s drive from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the wonders of the island. The property boasts over 200 mature fruit trees, and you can expect seasonal delights like lychee, emperor lychee, rambutan, mango, mangosteen, atemoya, and papaya in your welcome breakfast fruit bowl. Additionally, there may be occasional puppy noises throughout the year as we have litters born 2-3 times annually during business hours.
