Summary: This Hawaiian style house has been thoughtfully and carefully renovated so that it retains the charm of the 1940s plantation house but is totally comfortable for a longer stay. We loved it. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need - including a wine fridge and plenty of dishware and cooking utensils. Large airy rooms, including a sun room off the kitchen and a dining room. You could easily host 12 for dinner, if you're so inclined! Lovely yard, featuring fruit trees and many birds, including chickens and their chicks, who are always entertaining. Kapa'au and Hawi are lovely little towns to exlpore, and the rail trail at the bottom of the road is an added plus if you like running or walking. All in all, we highly recommend this house. Perfect if you want something a little off the beaten path. Oh, and I almost forgot: comfortable furniture for reading, with good lighting! Not easy to find in rentals, so good job!
