Our aim is to create a warm and inviting retreat on the enchanting island of Maui.

Nestled by a captivating beach, the location is ideal for witnessing breathtaking sunsets. The community boasts amenities such as a large saltwater pool, a kiddie pool, hot tub, volleyball court, shuffleboard decks, putting green, BBQ grills with picnic areas, and tiki torches. Surrounded by lushly landscaped grounds featuring palm, plumeria, and banana trees, this paradise maintains a local vibe while fostering a vibrant social ambiance. Kihei, situated at the base of Haleakala, the majestic 10,000-foot volcano, offers stunning mountain views and miles of picturesque beaches. Here, you'll find an array of local dining options and shops, ensuring you have everything you need nearby. An interesting tidbit about Hawaii—all beaches are public, so feel free to explore! This area, along with neighboring Wailea and Makena, features countless shops, restaurants, and fantastic happy hour spots. The Kauhale Makai community is conveniently close to grocery stores like Safeway, Times, and Foodland, with Costco and Target accessible on your way from the airport.

To make the most of your time in Maui, we recommend renting a car, as it provides the easiest way to navigate the island's attractions.

For families, baby essentials are available through Nokaoi Baby Rentals. Visit their website to arrange your rental; payment is made directly to them, and they will deliver items right to your unit. Please note that personal package deliveries, such as from Amazon, are not allowed unless under medical necessity and prior approval.

Additionally, Kauhale Makai is located near several pickleball courts in Kihei, where you can join the morning recreational games. It's important to remember that the state of Hawai'i collects a Transient Accommodation Tax of 10.25% and sales tax of 4.166%, along with a Maui county tax of 3.5%, which we, as hosts, are required to collect.
