Summary: Clean, beautiful views, close to uncrowded beaches, hiking, wildlife, caves. If you want to get away from your hectic life and reconnect stay here. Makaha Valley is about 1 hr north from downtown Honolulu and 30 min from the Disney/ Four Seasons resort area. You will need a vehicle. We loved it, but it depends upon what you are looking for. More locals live in this area and there are some sketch spots along the way. Homeless, etc. But we never felt unsafe and the property itself is in a gated community with a manned station at the entrance.
