Summary: Overall, this is a decent property. The building and grounds are beautiful. Stunning sunsets. The unit was not cleaned well upon our arrival (linens were changed, but the floors, counters, etc.) were not. I contacted property management and someone was onsite within minutes, this was appreciated. The bathtub was dirty and needed a deep cleaning, and I would have appreciated basic cleaning supplies be in the unit to wipe counters, etc. We had to purchase Kleenex/tissues and a bed pillow as the ones provided were very flat. Lots of little roaches we had to kill daily, but to be expected being in Hawaii (this is where cleaning supplies would also have been appreciated for clean up). The beach (water) was murky and definitely not a swimming/snorkeling beach. The sand was very rocky and lots of debris. The pool was great, small, but clean and did the job. We drove a few miles to Kama’ole where the water was crystal clear and the beach was soft and perfect. The dishwasher broke, was very old/outdated but wasn’t needed for our stay. Overall, the unit is nice. It just needs basic cleaning supplies (spray cleaner, sanitizing wipes, etc), a good thorough cleaning (tub, carpets, top of fridge), and someone to look over and replace items that are past their use (pillows, etc). Location is fantastic if you don’t mind driving to other beaches for swimming.
