Summary: While we spent most of our visit out and about hiking, sightseeing, and swimming, this cabin was a great place to have a few meals and lie our heads between exploring the big island. The bed was super comfortable and the bedroom and patio were really nice. The kitchen was well stocked for those looking to cook. However, there were a few cleanliness issues: the previous guests did not throughly clean the dishes, which attracted bugs, there was mold in the fridge, and there was a slight musty smell. You also need to bring nearly everything you might need, including toiletries (shampoo and a used bar of soap were the only things provided), beach towels, and spices (there was salt and pepper but it was damp). If you’re looking for a luxurious place to spend a lot of time, this cabin may not be for you, but we enjoyed it.
