Summary: We stayed at the Hilton for three nights after initially staying in Kaanapali. We chose to stay here for the proximity to sites like the Road to Hana and the volcano. The property is currently undergoing construction to expand. We were initially placed in a room that overlooked the construction site, not what we were expecting on our relaxing vacation. We were able to switch rooms the next day and the staff there were wonderful to help facilitate that. The staff were all extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. The first room was very clean, but the shower in our second room had hair in the drain and on the shower handle. We did like the room itself and it was nice to have a kitchen but we felt the room was noisy and didn’t offer much privacy to our neighbors. The rest of the property was nicely maintained. Our two children loved the pool and the waterslide. However, the view of the ocean is lacking and you have to walk across the street for beach access. We did like the proximity to Kihei and Wailea. Overall, we left feeling a little underwhelmed with our stay.
