Named in honor of the beloved Hawaiian melody "Hanalei Moon," Hanalei Moon Beach Cottage celebrates the stunning beauty and romance of the Hanalei Valley, especially under the serene tropical night sky. Nestled on the peaceful end of Weke Road, this cottage offers easy access to the beach park, all situated on a generous one-third acre. Enjoy a leisurely stroll to local restaurants, shops, and art galleries, all within walking distance. The mesmerizing waterfalls provide a picturesque backdrop for your stay at this lovely beach house.

You’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing delectable dishes using fresh ingredients from the Hanalei Fish Market or the Farmer's Market. Alternatively, whip up some snacks and savor a meal at one of the fantastic local eateries.

The cozy dwelling features a king-size bed, complete with reading lights for those quiet evenings. There is a private entrance to the bathroom for your convenience. A charming little library awaits your exploration, boasting an array of fascinating books about Kauai and the broader Hawaii region.

While the standard occupancy is two guests, the home can accommodate a maximum of three. A twin-sized bed cleverly concealed in a hassock in the central room invites an additional guest. Note that there is an extra fee of $20, including tax, per night for any additional guest beyond the standard two, payable after booking.

Inside the living room, a small telescope enhances your experience, allowing you to watch boats, whales, and dolphins gracefully navigate the bay during the day, and provides a chance to gaze at the enchanting moon and stars come nighttime. If you're fortunate, you may witness a rare moonbow, an extraordinary sight exclusive to Hanalei. This phenomenon occurs when stars, moonlight, and clouds align perfectly, revealing breathtaking colors illuminated by the moon.

Adventure is just steps away—whether it’s snorkeling, swimming, diving, paddling, hiking, golfing, or enjoying a health club—all are within a short distance from your doorstep or just a quick ten-minute drive away. A glance to your left may reveal the serene solitude of a mile-long stretch of beach, while to your right, you’ll likely spot surfers, volleyball players, and fellow beachgoers enjoying the sun, with the iconic Hanalei Pier gracing the far end of the bay.

Please be aware that a rental agreement is required by the State of Hawaii, which may have different cancellation policies than what you find on VRBO. Additionally, booking this beach house or any coastal accommodations in Hawaii positions you in a tsunami evacuation zone. Detailed evacuation instructions will be provided in the house, and acknowledgment of this location will be included in your rental agreement. Lastly, should you need to charge an electric vehicle during your stay, please note there is a $15 nightly charge for this service.
