Wai'anae, nestled approximately 28 miles west of Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, is part of Honolulu County on the island of O'ahu. With a vibrant local community of around 13,000 residents—80% of whom are Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander—you'll experience the authentic spirit of Hawaii. The city's charm is further enriched by its proximity to attractions such as the pristine beach lagoons at Ko'Olina Resort, Paradise Cove Luau, and the acclaimed PGA Golf Course.

As a close-knit community, Wai'anae is home to notable locals like actor Jason Momoa and MMA fighter Max Holloway. Experience the countryside vibe of old Hawai'i while enjoying some of the island's most beautiful beaches, an incredible pod of spinner dolphins along the coastline, and the unforgettable sunset views. Keep in mind that peak traffic times usually begin at 3:00 PM, but a contra-flow lane opens up in the far left lane to help ease congestion. To avoid delays, consider returning after 6:30 PM.

Just a short walk from the beach, this location also places you conveniently close to casual dining spots, grocery stores, laundromats, drug stores, and the post office—all within easy reach.

The access to your private rooms is via a set of approximately 16 steps leading to the right hallway, where both rooms and the shared bathroom await. The shared spaces—living room, kitchenette, and balcony—are typically occupied by family members or close friends. Security measures ensure peace of mind, and each room is secured with a punch code keyless entry system.

To get around the island effectively, having a vehicle is highly recommended. However, public transportation options are available with a bus stop conveniently located at the end of our driveway. It’s important to note that while this space is friendly for children, it is not fully childproof. Always supervise younger guests. My dogs, Emi and Camilo, might also bark occasionally. Keeping windows closed can mitigate much of this noise; however, if sensitivity to sounds is a concern, please consider this before booking.

This home comes equipped with central air conditioning. If fresh air is preferred, just let us know, and we’ll make adjustments to the thermostat for you.

While we do not offer laundry facilities due to allergies in our household, there is a laundromat located very nearby. Please be aware that surveillance is in place at main entry points and hallways for added security.
