Experience Close But Far.... Cool da Heels in Captivating Captain Cook, Hawaii

Welcome travelers! If you are ready to escape the ordinary and embrace the spirit of adventure, then Close But Far.... Cool da Heels is the perfect destination for your next getaway. Nestled within a tranquil three-acre mango farm, this unique cottage offers you the privacy and peace you crave.

Located in the heart of Kealakekua, Hawaii, this single-room retreat combines elements of Polynesian and Indonesian design with a touch of whimsy, creating an inviting atmosphere for all who visit. Enjoy the enchanting tropical surroundings as you cool off in warm waters or venture into the lush rainforests of Kilauea, often celebrated as one of the most active volcanoes globally.

Your day starts just five minutes away from the historic beauty of Kealakekua Bay, situated on the gentle slopes of Mauna Loa. With year-round mild and sunny weather, your mornings can be spent lounging on the lanai, accompanied by refreshing trade winds.

While this may not be a conventional hotel, it was lovingly constructed by my family and friends, embodying the charm of a storybook cottage where you can create your own memorable chapters. Positioned above the old Hawaiian fishing village of Keei, you'll discover a variety of tropical delights such as mangos and bananas surrounding you.

Close But Far.... Cool da Heels is ideal for a romantic retreat, a fun getaway, or a serene stop as you explore the breathtaking islands of Hawaii. Thank you for considering us, and we look forward to welcoming you soon!

Aloha, and if your visit coincides with the mango season, prepare to spend endless hours relaxing on the lanai!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the cozy cabin. We enjoyed the geckos and beautiful birds, and the lovely warm breezes and views were stunning. There was plenty of beach equipment to use and a fully-functional kitchen. Charles was hospitable and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this quaint and lovely cabin.
