The area surrounding the house is serene, remote, and breathtakingly beautiful. To explore the island, a car is essential—preferably a 4x4 pickup or SUV, as some roads are gravel or unpaved, making for an adventurous journey.

With convenient Kona airport parking just across the street, getting on the road is simple. If traveling with children, we provide a child booster seat free of charge. The SUV also comes equipped with a roof rack basket and covered net for your luggage needs, ensuring a hassle-free trip.

You can park in the garage or utilize the property driveway. For stays longer than a week, please note that there are no trash services on the island; however, we can arrange for someone to pick up your trash if notified in advance, saving you the trouble.

Your experience begins with a customized access code that grants you entry to all doors throughout your stay. The property is designed to cater to your family's every need, comfortably accommodating six guests and up to nine in a pinch. Sleeping arrangements include one King bed, one Full bed, two twin beds, one twin daybed, and a queen sofabed. Each corner of the house is meticulously cleaned before your arrival and after your departure.

Having completed construction in January 2022, everything inside the Big Island Green Sands House is brand new and fully functional, including furniture, appliances, cookware, silverware, utensils, and bedding. The kitchen is stocked with spices and has all the tools needed to create and host delightful meals for at least eight guests.
